D'année en année on voit que des noms de jeunes sensations nous aient famillier. Cette année ne fait pas exception. Voici la liste de cette saison.
Robert Nilsson of Sweden, whose father Kent Nilsson was arguably one of the most talented players to ever skate for the Calgary Flames. Robert set a scoring record for the most points in Sweden's Elite League. He had 21 points in 36 games, breaking the mark set by Markus Naslund in 1991. It was also four more points than Peter Forsberg had in the same season.
* Zach Parise of the University of North Dakota. His father is J.P. Parise, who played 13 NHL seasons mainly with the Minnesota North Stars and the New York Islanders because of his brawn. Zach is almost the exact opposite. He's creative with the puck and he has a soft touch around the net.
* Jeff Tambellini of the University of Michigan. His father is Steve Tambellini, a former first-round pick who played a decade in the NHL. He now works as Vice-President, Player Personnel for the Vancouver Canucks. Jeff led Michigan in scoring with 26 goals and 45 points this season.
* Patrick Eaves of Boston College. His father, Mike, played 324 NHL games in the 1980s and then went on to be an assistant coach on three NHL teams. Mike was head coach of the University of Wisconsin last season. Patrick, meanwhile, started the season well for Boston College, but ran into injury problems.
* Liam Lindstrom of Sweden. His father, Willy, was a member of the Edmonton Oilers' Stanley Cup teams in 1984 and 1985. Liam is projected to go in the second or third round.
* Brady Murray of the Junior A Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the B.C. Hockey League. His father, Andy, is the head coach of the Los Angeles Kings. Brady had 42 goals and 101 points this season and has signed a letter of intent to attend the University of North Dakota next season.
* B.J. Crombeen of the Barrie Colts of the OHL. His father, Mike, was a first-round pick by Cleveland in the 1977 NHL draft. B.J. had 22 goals and 46 points in 63 games this season.
* Ryan Suter of the United States Under-18 Team. His uncle, Gary Suter, was an intense non-nonsense defenseman who played 1,145 NHL games before retiring before the start of the 2002-03 season. Ryan Suter is a top-ranked defenseman who some scouts feel is the best player in the draft.
* Charlie Johnson of Harvard University is the nephew of former Buffalo Sabres coach Ted Nolan.
